“You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.”

Maya Angelou

Artificial intelligence (AI) has swiftly distinguished itself as a fundamental capability that has helped in contributing to developing nations and has fast transformed the debate as we consider the ramifications of the global workforce’s combined contribution. From self-driving vehicles and smart home gadgets to virtual assistants and personalized suggestions, AI has grown increasingly prevalent in our daily routines. We’ve already adopted AI to some extent in our online exploits, now begins the slow march into the global workforce.

Unfortunately, AI adoption is not without its difficulties or detractors. Most individuals are thrilled about the prospect of artificial intelligence to enhance our lives and generate new possibilities and realities, at the same time, still others are concerned about the unforseen hazards and implications of this emerging technology. And rightfully so.

One of the primary challenges concerning the rising state of AI is the stark differences between those who have prepared and are ready for the technological revolution and others who are doomed to be left aside. Some people and organizations are already incorporating artificial intelligence and discovering new ways to use it to their advantage, while others are struggling to catch up with the quick speed of progress. This may result in a system in which certain individuals and industries gain from AI while others are left behind, thereby exacerbating social and economic disparities.

As someone who is concerned about your future and your role in the workplace, the individuals and businesses who take quantifiable actions to begin properly preparing for the future years by learning to absorb AI before it advances around the globe will be in a better position, overall.

For example, it is extremely vital to dedicate the required time to learning about new, disruptive technologies and how they may be applied in a variety of sectors and professional positions before they hit the market.

The new digital warfare battleground will be predicated on the key knowledge and skills necessary to maintain a competitive advantage in a society controlled by artificial intelligence (AI).

This means, companies will need to adapt their procedures to make room for the advent of AI, together with executing a plan of attack to insure that their businesses can appropriately use AI software to its full benefit. How is this accomplished, you ask? Read on.

Another major aspect in the evolving stage of AI is the technology’s ethical position. AI has the ability to substantially alter how we live, work, and obtain information and it is pertinent that it is developed and implemented in an ethical and socially responsible manner. This involves concerns like privacy, prejudice, security and responsibility. It also entails ensuring that artificial intelligence is employed for the advantage of society as a whole, rather than simply a chosen few.

Employment is one sector where ethical AI usage is absolutely key. As AI grows more pervasive, several work functions are expected to be automated or eliminated by advanced technologies altogether. While this may have certain advantages, it also has the potential to disrupt the labor market and leave some individuals unemployed. Which is never a good thing. Ever.

To minimize these vulnerabilities, workers must reinvest in the education and competencies required to remain productive in a world where AI is becoming more commonplace, while simultaneously, corporations must begin to embrace more ethical, equitable methods for the use of AI in the workplace.

Another critical problem concerning the future state of AI is privacy. Because AI relies on information gathering and processing, there are legitmate worries about significant privacy threats.
